Hi, I sent an e-mail before I realized there was a message board. My comment was I only saw tabs on breakfast and lunch. There were no tabs showing under snacks. What an I supposed to be clicking and dragging on? Are there pictures or just words?

Hi everyone,

If you're having issues with the fiber calculator, for the time being refresh the page, or exit out and go back in again. For some reason it will not work the 1st time, but works like a charm the second.

We're working on fixing the problem as we speak.

Can not make it work...even on the "2nd try" as you suggest.
I suggest you wasted a lot of money, and too... the Monday Morning Memo should have checked it out before recommending it.

I really like the design of the calculator and found it easy to use. However, i do not see it being something i would use regularly. There are just way to few options to make it realistic. For example having Dinners "already created" i.e pasta primavera, burrito etc. is too generic. I use a few calorie counting sites that are extremely extensive and i even get frustrated with those because it is not customizable to my daily diet.

I like the thermometer that totals everything, and also the easy slideable items to the plate. I just don't see it being extensive enough to use frequently.

re: Calculator:
Following items could not be located/calculated:
salmon/lox
whole tomato/tomato salid
white rice (maybe I missed it. I saw brown rice)
cooked mixed vegetables

Correct! The fiber calculator is something to use to help you understand the comparative fiber in foods. I doubt that this would be useful as a daily measurement tool. It's always surprising to me how many people think that because a cow eats grass, steak must be full of fiber. The fiber calculator helps people realize what foods are abundant with fiber and what foods have little to no fiber. This only highlights fiber and doesn't show total calories, fat content, etc. However, we've found that if you really focus on getting a lot of fiber in to your diet (especially if you eat the high-fiber foods first in a meal), it tends to "crowd out" foods that are more calorie dense and you lose weight.

I get the concept of the calculator, but more items added would be more beneficial to those who are new to trying to calculate. A large variety will show how fiber empty your diet can be as well as to allow those who are eating a fiber full diet to receive positive affirmation.
